Management company for the tug operations in Kingston since 1979, on behalf of The Port Authority of Jamaica. This includes commercial, technical and crewing management for the Lloyds registered vessels.

Equipment Ltd. is an associate of Maritime & Transport Services
Ltd. and was incorporated in 1976 as an equipment company on the port of
Kingston supplying crane and forklift services. In April 1998 we
re-organized the company and expanded its activities to include general
marine services as set out:-
Surveyors – Our company has a compliment of five (5) surveyors available on a twenty-four (24) hour basis to attend vessels and to perform cargo and bunker. We presently provide services on a contractual basis to: – Alumina Partners of Jamaica – Alumina – ALCOA Minerals of Jamaica – Alumina – J. M. Huber Corporation – Limestone – Intertek Testing Services – Cargo inspection
Pilot Boat Service – Rocky Point for ALCOA Minerals of Jamaica

Line Handling Service – Rocky Point for ALCOA Minerals of Jamaica and Shell Pier in Kingston for Shell Company (W.I.) Ltd.
Commercial Diving Department – In 1995 we started an underwater dive service comprising of five divers capable of performing underwater inspections, hull cleaning, underwater burning and underwater video, to service the needs of our clients. We became sub-contractors for class approved Miami Divers in Jamaica, January 1998 to assist in in-water surveys and expanding our underwater vessel maintenance capability. In 2010 we embarked on the largest coral replanting project in Falmouth Jamaica for Royal Caribbean’s new mega passenger vessel. 140,000 corals were replanted. Continuous monitoring has taken place and we have a 80% survival rate. Also on this project we planted 6 acres of sea grass.
Trucking Department – In 1999 we commenced haulage operations with the Hammar Lift (side-loader), chassis with lifting cranes capable of handling 20′ – 45′ containers with a maximum weight of 33 tons. We also have pick up trucks and box trucks for the delivery of cargo.
Reefer Department – In 2006 we commenced reefer monitoring and repairs for Maersk Line. In 2007 we also began working with CMA/CGM
Ship Management Dept. – In November 2009 we were awarded the Ship Management contract for the Petrojam Negril and Petrojam Barge No.1 from Petrojam. This includes management and crewing duties for the ABS classed vessels. February 2011 wew were awarded the contract to mange and train crew for 10 National Energy Corporation vessels based in Point Lisas, Trinidad.

E. Parnell & Company was established in August 1946. The fledging
company grew from strength to strength, and became one of the largest
independent stevedoring business in Kingston. Approximately 12 years
later, in February 1958, A.E. Parnell & Company Limited was
incorporated and continued in its core business of loading and unloading
ships of various sizes with various types of cargo to and from various
ports of the world. Our activities have grown to include the following:
Stevedoring/Cargo Superintendents for
Alcoa Steamship and presently Hyundai Merchant Marine, T.M.M. and local
industries such as Sugar Industry Authority and West Indies Glass
Company. Joint venture partners with A.P.M. Terminals management of the
Kingston Container Terminal
Custom Brokerage and Freight Forwarding
with a licensed custom broker and staff of 10 broker clerks. Our
clients include Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall Hotel in Montego Bay, Bouygues
Travaux Publics, French construction company,. Jamalco joint venture
between Alcoa and the Jamaican Government, miners of bauxite and
alumina. J. Wray & Nephew largest rum distillers in Jamaica. Vinci
French contractors building a water treatment plant in Jamaica. E. Pihl
& Son Danish contractors extending the Kingston container terminal
and the Port in Falmouth.
